María de Jesús, de Ágreda (Mary of Jesus of Ágreda) (b. María Coronel y de Arana Apr. 2, 1602, Ágreda, Spain–b. May 24, 1665, Ágreda) was a Franciscan abbess, writer, and advisor to King Philip IV of Spain. At twelve she made the decision to enter a monastery. Her mother, Catalina, converted the family home into the Monastery of the Immaculate Conception, to be a part of the Order of the Immaculate Conception.
